Nea is a gifted programmer, thoroughly disillusioned with the real world's messy 'code.' Her inbox is flooded with utopian spam—promises of 'a world without sickness' and 'happiness at your fingertips.' She ignores them all as scams. But the spam evolves, bypassing her filters with cryptic puzzles. Curiosity finally gets the best of her. She clicks, expecting a scam, but finds something else: an entrance exam in an impossible programming language, one that seems to operate on abstract logic, not syntax.
